I will start. The "car" tax. Voted on and approved every budget since FY 2021 I believe. Essentially, you are taxed twice per year on registered vehicles in the City of Newton. One year ago, I believe only Jon McClure voted against the budget. Jon McClure and Beverly Danner voted against the budget this year. I will be researching this as time allows. For the record, I have previously indicated my opposition to this tax. Nothing has changed.

Jon was right, this tax needs to go.
It's hard enough for people on fixed incomes, to buy food or meds, let alone this luxury tax for being able to afford a 20 year old vehicle.

Fully expect some incumbents running for re-election to jump on the "Kill the Car Tax" effort. Desperation seems to be growing.
