CITY COUNCIL MEETING JULY 3, 2025

The special called meeting of Newton City Council on July 3, 2025 was brief and to the point. The "old" police house (Newton Police Community Office) on S. Ervin Avenue having been declared surplus months ago, was sold for $175,000.00. The meeting was held at the request of the buyer to make the sale "official" which was done. An unanimous vote was returned authorizing the execution of the sale documents. In and out in around 5 minutes.
